The Ballad of the Frostborn Flight (Mar 02, 2025)

Campaign recap song from March 2, 2025. The party was awakened by mysterious pounding and encountered a group of dwarf miners searching for lost survivors. Don Jon Raskin gave the miners 50 gold and departed with them to aid the search. The party discovered Sacred bound and being attacked by four giant rats, narrowly saving him from the creatures. The party narrowly avoided the white dragon and encountered heavily armored knights bearing the Neverwinter magistrate’s crest. The party collected 75 gold from Townmaster Harbin, paid their taxes, and gave Sacred 20 gold for supplies. The party spent an agonizing 32 hours waiting for Deverick to successfully create a flashlight for his staff. As the party departed Phandelin for Axeholm, the young white dragon attacked at the gates, nearly snatching Bryann. Dragon breath knocked Bryann unconscious, but Magic Man’s quick healing brought him back into the fight. Sacred, Deverick, and the rest of the party combined spells, attacks, and a well-timed Command spell to repeatedly drive the dragon into retreat. Pursuing the fleeing dragon, Deverick was caught by its devastating breath weapon and was nearly frozen to death. After three attempts to retreat, the wounded white dragon finally succeeded and fled. Phandelin erupted in cheers—the party had survived an encounter with a young white dragon despite having nearly been defeated by giant rats earlier. With their newfound reputation and wounded pride intact, the party set their sights on Axeholm.
