Friday, September 18 | Morning Prayer to Thank God for This Week Have you ever reached the last morning of a long week and realized you could name every problem it handed you and almost none of the mercies? 🙏 The bad news stayed. The hard conversation stayed. But the provision that arrived on Tuesday quietly became the new normal by Thursday, and nobody ever thanked God for it. If that is where you are standing this Friday, heaven is not asking you for a performance. It is asking you to look back before you look forward. This powerful Friday morning prayer is built on Psalm 92:1-2 — "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord... to shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night." That psalm carries a title most readers walk past: it was written for the sabbath, for the day when the work finally stops and the soul looks back over what God has done. This Friday is your looking-back place. For the one whose week brought no breakthrough, for the parent who held everything together and was thanked by nobody, for anyone who is tired in a way sleep does not fix — this prayer is for you. The week behind you was not empty.
