A Worship Leader’s Words Before His Wife’s M*rder

Caleb Flynn told 911 that an intruder had broken into his Ohio home and killed his wife, Ashley. At his trial, prosecutors argued that the break-in had been staged—and presented messages that challenged the story he told police. Ashley Flynn was a 37-year-old mother killed in Tipp City, Ohio, in February 2026. Her husband, a former pastor and worship leader who had appeared on American Idol, was later convicted of her murder. This documentary examines the reported intrusion, the missing handgun, the removal of security cameras and the messages introduced through testimony about Caleb’s affair. It follows the prosecution’s arguments, the defense’s challenges, the jury’s verdict and the subsequent sentencing and reported appeal. Reporting note: This account is based on reporting available when the episode was prepared in October 2026. Courtroom testimony and prosecution allegations are distinguished from the jury’s findings. The appeal is described through news reporting; later developments are not covered. No direct court transcript or docket was obtained for this production.
