Rim Rocker Trail, Colorado | Solo Van Camping Outside Montrose in My 4x4 Sprinter

I aired down and hit the Rim Rocker Trail outside Montrose, Colorado. It runs about 160 miles all the way to Moab, but this trip I took a section of it before heading north. It was sunny all day, then the clouds rolled in right as I hit the dirt. Of course. Along the way I found a cabin all closed up for winter, The Navigator found every mud puddle on the mountain, I dropped a standing dead tree for firewood, and settled in by the fire with a cold one. Fall colors, quiet camp, and a dirty van.
