My Pony Gets Fit! || PonyCam

Operation ‘Get Toby Fit’ is in full swing! We spent the last few months of 2023 just slowly getting to know Toby, then he had a few quiet weeks at the start of this year, so now it’s time to crack on a bit and start getting him fitter ready for spring & summer! To be fair he’s already a lot fitter than he was a couple of months ago just from ‘normal’ work, but now I’m trying to push him a little bit further - he’s not complaining, it basically just means he gets to canter around a lot more 😂 This video is of a little fitness session we did a few weeks ago. We’re very lucky to have grass tracks that go all around the fields on the yards own land that offer everything from completely flat ground, to steeper inclines for fitness work. Luckily for Toby the steepest section is too wet to ride on in the winter, so he only has to do the smaller hills for now. Please note that while this video shows clips from most of our trots and canters, the ride itself was about 35mins long as there was also lots of warming up, cooling down & stretching in walk throughout the ride.
