Journey To The East (Part 11) - Tbilisi Good day, everyone, and welcome to the next episode of our "Journey To The East" Series. I have the honour to announce that I'm doing better again and that I've finally been able to finish the work on my next video. Although this one contains two different songs, the shown place is actually just one: Tbilisi From the capital cities we've visited so far, I've to say that, in my personal opinion, this is the one that I've liked the least. The city in general is planned pretty badly, which leads to a horrendous traffic situation with continuous traffic jams in many places. Regarding public transport, I must say that yes, it is cheap, but it's not quite reliable because of the traffic situation. Buses often very late, and we found ourselves in situations where we decided to simply walk the distance rather than continue waiting. The metro station is more reliable but very limited regarding the places to go. Concerning historical architecture and a real city core (old city), Tbilisi lacks, in my opinion, behind other capitals of the region like Yerevan and Baku. There isn't a huge amount to see, and those things that could be visited were unfortunately under renovation whilst we were there (not blaming anyone here, just bad timing). This being said, we still had some enjoyable experiences, like eating delicious Georgian food, enjoying the many parks (and lake), meeting interesting and friendly locals and just generally taking in the place's atmosphere, and we wouldn't tell anyone not to visit it. It's, in our opinion, still worth it. Just the Chronicles of Georgia monument (second part of this video) alone made up for all the rest.
