Hearing God's Answer in Your Brother At the heart of this section is a simple truth: You cannot know your innocence; your eternal holiness except by seeing it in your brother. Let's take the projection and extension dichotomy. If you are extending Love that is genuinely in you, you are seeing your brother's innocence rather than his sins which were just your sins reflected back to you through Him. And this lesson isn't about how you behave, ie. virtue signalling, it's about how you choose to perceive, and that's where the real correction happens. You can only recognize that you have holiness in you, by extending that holiness to your brother because that's how you know you have something, by giving it freely.
