📍 Today we take a walk around the New Islington Marina and Ancoats area of Manchester. The marina is just a few minutes' walk from the New Islington tram stop with direct links around the city and one stop from Piccadilly Rail Station. This peaceful waterside oasis offers you an escape from the hustle and bustle of city living through its green and open spaces such as Cotton Field Park and the Marina. Back in the 1990s, it was called one of the worst estates in the nation. Thanks to regeneration efforts, it blossomed into a bustling hub. Despite its growth as a modern neighbourhood, it hasn’t been cut off from nature. You can enjoy the outdoors without giving up the luxuries of city living. That includes a great public transportation system and a vast array of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Thanks for watching.
