My Campervan Kitchen Is Finally Taking Shape! | Van Build

The campervan kitchen is finally taking shape! 🚐🔨 In this video, I continue building my DIY campervan kitchen and tackle one of the slightly nerve-racking jobs — cutting a big hole in my plywood worktop for the IKEA sink! I make a cardboard template, work out the sink position, cut the worktop, sand everything down and add a satin oak varnish to give the plywood a much nicer finish. Then I start putting together the sink waste, overflow and plumbing ready for running water in the van. There were definitely a few mistakes along the way — including scratching the worktop and discovering a few things I wish I'd known before cutting plywood with a circular saw — but that's all part of building a campervan yourself! The sink isn't completely finished yet. I still need to seal and secure it properly, install the USB-powered tap and water container, test everything for leaks and somehow clear up the mountain of wood and tools inside the van. 😂 Because of my health, I can only work on the van a little at a time, but slowly and surely it's getting there.
