The tuning is Eb tuning which is, starting form the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. For most of the beginning of the song, The Edge creates a muted strum sound by strumming the strings with the flesh of his thumb. When the signature riff of the song happens, I then switch to the pick. The chords are mostly basic open chords with a couple of variations (changing from a major chord to a sus2) thrown in there that I will demonstrate. However, there is a barre chord in the pre-chorus. During the second half of the chorus, The Edge plays a nice little arpeggiated sequence and I will demonstrate that as well.
