Speedrun of Ancient Ys Vanished Omen (PC-98) - any% in 56:02.650

(Reposted from Twitch:   / 1779532552  ) Turns out that the game has a fast-forward button I didn't learn about until after my first run, and that fast-forwarding the slow parts of the game saves a lot of time. This is actually comparable to the PCE record run now, surprisingly. I could probably bring it down to the 50 minute range with cleaner movement and better boss fights... but I won't. Played on Neko Project 21/W 0.86-rev83, CPU multiplier set to 6x (~16MHz). Final time determined by counting times in Avidemux. (I load up the game on real hardware after the run and do some comparisons, fwiw.
