What makes Durga Pujo truly special? ❤️ Welcome to Episode 7 of "B-School Diaries" on AvPal Studios! While organising Durga Pujo 2026 at SPJIMR, thousands of kilometres away from home, I found myself reflecting on what makes this festival so meaningful to us Bengalis. Beyond the rituals and celebrations, Durga Pujo is about the warmth of homecoming, reconnecting with our roots, and bringing people together. From making Alpona and witnessing cultural performances to enjoying authentic Bengali cuisine, Dhunuchi Naach, and Bishorjon, this year's celebrations reminded me that you don't have to be a Bengali to experience the joy of Durga Pujo. I'm someone who loves painting in my room and isn't particularly social. Yet, through these celebrations, I found myself bonding with new friends and discovering a deeper meaning to a festival I've celebrated all my life. Perhaps that's the true essence of Durga Pujo: bringing people together and making a new place feel like home. Maa Durga may have left her parental home this Bijoya Dashami, but she left me with a new place I can call home. ❤️ *Subho Bijoya!
