Explosions rock Beirut after Israeli airstrikes target Hezbollah

Rubble and debris filled the streets after an Israeli strike flattened a building near one of Beirut’s busiest traffic junctions on Friday (November 15). Lebanese civil defence were seen present and crowds gathered at the site of the strike after it shook the Lebanese capital and smoke filled the air. One of several airstrikes on Friday morning, the attack struck near the Tayouneh junction in an area where the Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs meet other parts of the city, a more central target than most that Israel has hit.
