Since leaving his Texas hometown at 18, Amen has followed a restless curiosity and a love of songwriting across the country - from a commune in Southern California to a trailer in Hollywood, years on a remote Washington island, life on sailboats and rock climbing out of vans, and most recently, the pulse of New York City. -------------------------------- Lyrics She walks along A country road that winds up through the hill Thinks of days Yet to come and things that never will And she feels herself Growing older as she listens through the trees To the sound of the wind Rushin' past the bend, down 'round her cabin by the sea And from the shore Up to her door, the sun is shinin' high A bluebird sings Spread its wings and flies into the sky And she often stops and watches And wonders how it'd feel to be so free To fly off in the wind High above the bend, down 'round her cabin by the sea And she feels hersеlf Growing older as she listens through thе trees To the sound of the wind Rushin' past the bend, down 'round her cabin by the sea Down 'round her cabin by the sea Down 'round her cabin by the sea -------------------------------- #liveperformance #eversince #alexamen
