7/12/14 - Yesterday, at the AMRCA Tether Car Track in Seaford, NY., The Vector electric tether car set a new track record by posting an official speed of 211.511 mph. (340.394 kph.). Being a little excited at seeing 212 mph. on the speedometer caused me to fumble while reaching for the timer button, so I pushed it about three laps too late to get all of the best laps in my timed run. Although the speedometer only shows 212 mph as the highest speed, the official timing station (much more accurate) recorded 5 laps at 213 mph. Also, in the video you can see a momentary loss of the throttle control signal, which causes the car to slow down, and then when the control comes back on, the Vector accelerates for a second time during the run. There is probably a loose connection somewhere that needs to be fixed. George and I would like to thank the entire NY crew for all of their help and support.
