13 DAYS - 3,200+ MILES - ONE BRAND-NEW IMOCA What is it really like to spend 13 days crossing the Atlantic on a 60ft racing yacht? For Alice, this was her first-ever Atlantic crossing. She joined the crew onboard Malizia 4 for the delivery from Lorient, France, to New York, getting a first-hand look at life inside a high-performance IMOCA. From the first days of light winds and endless ocean to stormy nights, foiling at 30+ knots, unexpected technical issues, drone missions, scientific data collection and finally sailing into New York past the Statue of Liberty, no two days were the same. Along the way, Alice got to know the five sailors onboard: Will Harris, Cole Brauer, Julien Villion, Justine Mettraux and Loïs Berrehar, capturing the reality of life at sea and the people behind the racing machine. There were plenty of unforgettable moments, a few bumps and bruises, a LOT of freeze-dried food, some questionable showers, countless hours of filming and editing, and a whole new appreciation for what it takes to sail an IMOCA across an ocean.
