36 Plants for $30?! Filling My GreenStalk for Fall

Welcome back to Baby Steps Gardening! Today we're finally getting my GreenStalk vertical garden ready for fall—and I found an AMAZING deal to help fill it! I visited Jireh's Nursery and Garden Center, a Black-owned nursery right here in my county, where they were offering 36 starter plants for only $30! You already know I couldn't pass that up. I picked up enough cool-season vegetable starters to fill my GreenStalk, including: 🧅 Onions 🥕 Carrots 🌿 Celery 🥬 Spinach 🥗 Lettuce Then it was back home to finally tackle a project I've been talking about for weeks—assembling the GreenStalk! After putting everything together, I filled each tier with a mixture of potting mix, compost, and fertilizer to prepare it for planting and gave the entire system its very first watering. My fall garden is officially starting to take shape, and I'm excited to see how these vegetables perform in a vertical growing system compared with some of the containers and grow bags I've used throughout the season.
