#africanvillagelife #africancuisine #villagecooking #cooking #villagelife #food #cooking #market In ancient times, people preserved food using natural methods because there were no fridges or electricity. They relied on things like salt, sun, and smoke to keep food from spoiling. Salting removes moisture so bacteria can’t grow, smoking adds flavor while drying the food slowly, and sun-drying uses heat to take out water completely. These methods helped communities store food for days, weeks, or even months, especially during dry seasons or long journeys. In this video, I used salting, smoking, and sun-drying to keep fish and beef fresh for days without a fridge. This is how our ancestors survived and stored food naturally.
