For two thousand years, certain men and women believed that the world was not made of dead matter — but of living meaning. That inside every metal, every mineral, every flame, something was slowly becoming.
This is three hours of unhurried exploration across the full history of alchemy. We begin in ancient Egypt, in the black soil of the Nile delta, where the word itself was born — and where the first sacred workshops fused craft with cosmology. We then travel through the golden laboratories of the Islamic world, where Jabir ibn Hayyan and al-Razi turned mystical intuition into systematic inquiry. We close in the candlelit studies of Renaissance Europe — with Paracelsus, with John Dee, and finally with Isaac Newton, who spent thirty years searching in secret for the Philosopher's Stone while the modern world was being built around him.
Let the furnace cool. Let the manuscripts close.
