This video documents two issues with Bachmann N scale 65’ passenger cars. The first issue was the older style couplers on these passenger cars which I decided to replace. This video shows the Micro-Train Short ‘T’ Shank Coupler conversion kits and describes in detail how they were filed down to fit into the Bachmann truck coupler mounts. The second issue was a possible molding flaw in the truck where the axle point is supposed to fit. How I repaired this is described and shown. There is a final demo using the Bachmann N scale 2-6-2 Prairie Locomotive pulling the modified and repaired passenger cars. There are no sponsors for this video. Here is the description and part number for the conversion kits: Micro-Train Short ‘T’ Shank Couplers Part No.: 001 30 012 (1128) Links mentioned in video: Prior to the passenger car repair, the drive wheel slippage of my Bachmann N scale 2-6-2 Prairie locomotive when pulling the passenger cars was similar to the slippage of a Bachmann N scale Alco 2-6-0 Mogul locomotive when pulling similar passenger cars. This was demonstrated at 7 minutes 52 seconds into the following video posted on the Pinchy08 channel.
