Lifting up St Jacobi church tower in Hamburg, Germany

The steeple or clock tower of St Jacobi in Hamburg has been rebuilt past World War II and since then, includes two elevators. One swing door elevators goes to a mezzanine and one elevator goes from there up the tower. There are only few opportunities to get into the church tower and ride the elevators. The tower cafe usually opens at each first saturday of a month - but just from May until October! Beside that, there are also sometimes guided tours including a ride up the tower. You can reach St Jacobi by U-Bahn train, take U3 to Mönckebergstraße subway station, the church is right next to it.
