Kayaking a Mountain Stream Until It Became a Creek

I explored a beautiful North Georgia mountain stream, wading and kayaking farther and farther upstream until the water eventually narrowed down into a creek. The fishing turned out to be excellent. I caught a bunch of Shoal Bass, including a solid 18.5-inch Shoal Bass, along with a 17-inch invasive Alabama Bass and a 9-inch Chattahoochee Bass. This trip had everything I enjoy about river fishing — clear mountain water, exploring new stretches, kayaking, wading, and never knowing what species might bite next.
