According to Sanaullah, the party was informed that the emergency could be postponed if Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was removed from office. Responding to the political developments, Barrister Ali Zafar stated that governor's rule had already been imposed, while a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan was still not being facilitated. He expressed confidence that the provincial assembly would be restored and Sohail Afridi would continue serving as chief minister. Addressing the possibility of an in-house political change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rana Sanaullah maintained that replacing the chief minister was an internal matter for PTI. However, he stressed that any incoming leadership must agree with the state's position on national security and counterterrorism. Barrister Ali Zafar, meanwhile, called for continued political engagement, saying that the door to dialogue should never be closed. He supported a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the opposition leader, expressing hope that meaningful discussions could help resolve the country's political challenges.
