The Lion King - wildebeest stampede - animated Disney movie and CGI remake vs video game adaptations

Uncle Scar lures lion cub Simba into an echo-chamber gorge, orchestrating his father's downfall in a deadly trampling incident triggered by his capricious hyena servants. Only a small fragment of this long scene from the movie was incorporated into the games; Simba's initial flight in search of safe haven. There's no real conclusion, you simply have to survive for a predetermined period of time to progress to the next stage. The Game Boy incarnation is virtually identical to that of the NES, minus its more varied colour palette, whilst the Game Gear and Master System variants are almost indistinguishable from one another. Much the same can be said of the SNES, Mega Drive and Amiga versions so only the former was included for comparison.
