In Service To This Lantern's Light: Lanterns: Season 1 (Review) *Spoilers*

In this week's episode of The PlotCast, we review Season 1 of Lanterns! We break down what makes the series a safe play for the DCU while criticizing its biggest flaw: playing it safe when it had the opportunity to take risks. While the writing gives us some solid characters and several of the main cast manage to stand out, the show ultimately leaves much to be desired when it comes to character development and the overall story. Should Lanterns have embraced its superhero roots or was leaning into a grounded, True Detective-style mystery the right call? Did DC play it too safe or was this a case of a show that promised more than it delivered? There's only one way to find out! So tell that sorry excuse for a Lantern to get rid of that gold tooth, fly to the nearest Wi-Fi hotspot and tune in to The PlotCast for our review of Lanterns Season 1! #dcu #lanterns #jamesgunn #haljordan #johnstewart #guygardner #abinsur #sinestro #greenlantern #superman Got some feedback or want more of something in particular in our videos?
