The Orange Order walk in Glasgow is an annual parade organized by the Orange Order, a Protestant fraternal organization with roots in Northern Ireland. Held in July to mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne, the event features members dressed in traditional regalia, accompanied by marching bands. While supporters view it as a celebration of cultural and religious heritage, it has also sparked controversy and tensions in the city due to its sectarian associations and impact on community relations. The walk typically involves road closures and a visible police presence to manage crowds and ensure public safety. I was very impressed by the Glasgow Orange Order Walk. In fact, I did not even plan to be in Glasgow for it. I literally walked out of the train station and it was about to begin. #glasgow #glasgowscotland #scottish
