Chuck Billy on Holding My Breath & the Two Testaments of His Life | Kaoz Talks Ep. 366

With “Holding My Breath: The Two Testaments Of Chuck Billy”, TESTAMENT’s iconic front-man opens the book on a life shaped by Thrash Metal, survival, spirituality, and hard-earned perspective. METAL KAOZ connected with Chuck Billy to discuss the memoir’s two-part structure, the prophecy that changed TESTAMENT, and the healing journey that followed his cancer diagnosis. From heavy memories and band history to MEGADETH drama, Alex Skolnick’s departure, and why society keeps failing itself, Chuck reflects with the kind of calmness and honesty that only comes from lived experience. Chuck Billy — the iconic frontman of Bay Area Thrash legends TESTAMENT — tells the whole truth in his unflinching memoir, “Holding My Breath: The Two Testaments Of Chuck Billy”, publishing November 10, 2026, from Permuted Press.
