Parkes Elvis Festival - This Is The Story - Celebrating 25 Years

Parkes Elvis Festival started in 1993 when a group of dedicated Elvis Presley fans decided to celebrate his life and music at Gracelands Restaurant in Parkes. 'This Is The Story' takes you on a journey from it's humble beginnings to the 'must-do' event it is today. You will hear from the people who helped shape and create the event into the phenomenon it is today. Parkes Elvis Festival founders, Bob and Anne Steel, will begin the story of how the idea of such a event started. With additional commentary throughout the film from the Parkes Shire Mayor Cr Ken Keith OAM, former Parkes Champion Post editor Roel Ten Cate, Festival Ambassador Al 'Alvis' Gersback, local identity Elvis Lennox, Elvis fan and original yellow Wiggle Greg Page plus volunteers, fans and staff.
