Point Shapefile कैसे बनाते हैं? Line Shapefile कैसे बनाते हैं? Polygon Shapefile कैसे बनाते हैं? Shapefile में Attribute Field कैसे Add करते हैं? Coordinate System या Projection कैसे Set करते हैं? और अंत में Shapefile में Feature Digitize करके उसे Save कैसे करते हैं। तो अगर आप GIS सीख रहे हैं या ArcGIS में नए हैं, तो इस वीडियो को पूरा जरूर देखें। चलिए बिना समय खराब किए शुरू करते हैं। सबसे पहले हम अपने Computer में *ArcMap 10.8* को Open करेंगे। अब ArcMap Open होने के बाद हमें एक नया Blank Map दिखाई देगा। अब हमें Shapefile Create करने के लिए ArcCatalog का इस्तेमाल करना है। आप ArcMap के अंदर Catalog Window भी Open कर सकते हैं। इसके लिए हम ऊपर दिए गए *Windows Menu* में जाएंगे और वहां से *Catalog* को Select करेंगे। अब हमारे सामने Catalog Window दिखाई देगी। यहां हम उस Folder Location पर जाएंगे जहां हम अपनी Shapefile को Save करना चाहते हैं। मान लीजिए हमने अपने Computer में एक Folder बनाया है जिसका नाम है **GIS Data**। अब हम इस Folder को ArcCatalog में Open करेंगे। अब इस Folder के ऊपर हम Right Click करेंगे। यहां हमें कई Options दिखाई देंगे। हमें *New* Option पर जाना है। New के अंदर हमें *Shapefile* का Option दिखाई देगा। अब हम Shapefile पर Click करेंगे। इसके बाद हमारे सामने *Create New Shapefile* की Window Open होगी। यहां सबसे पहले हमें Shapefile का Name देना है। मान लीजिए हम Village Boundary की Shapefile बनाना चाहते हैं। तो इसका नाम हम रखेंगे: *Village_Boundary* ध्यान रखें कि Shapefile का नाम देते समय हमेशा ऐसा नाम रखें जिससे आपको बाद में आसानी से पता चल सके कि यह Shapefile किस काम के लिए है। अब अगला Option है **Feature Type**। यहां हमें यह बताना होता है कि हमारी Shapefile किस प्रकार की होगी। ArcGIS में मुख्य रूप से हम Point, Polyline और Polygon का इस्तेमाल करते हैं। अगर हमें किसी Location को Point के रूप में दिखाना है, तो हम *Point* Select करेंगे। उदाहरण के लिए: Tube Well, Hand Pump, Electric Pole, School, Hospital, Bridge, या किसी दूसरे specific location को Point के रूप में दिखाया जा सकता है। अगर हमें Road, Canal, River, Pipeline या Boundary Line जैसी चीजों को Line के रूप में दिखाना है, तो हम *Polyline* Select करेंगे। और अगर हमें Village Boundary, Khasra Parcel, Pond Area, Building Area या किसी दूसरे Area को दिखाना है, तो हम *Polygon* Select करेंगे। इस उदाहरण में हम Village Boundary की Shapefile बना रहे हैं। इसलिए हम यहां *Polygon* Select करेंगे। अब सबसे important setting आती है **Coordinate System**। Coordinate System GIS data के लिए बहुत important होता है। अगर आपकी existing GIS data किसी specific coordinate system में है, तो नई Shapefile बनाते समय उसी coordinate system को select करना चाहिए। उदाहरण के लिए अगर आपका project *WGS 1984 UTM Zone 43N* में है, तो आपको उसी coordinate system को select करना होगा।
