Why does FireRed and LeafGreen Feel Strange on the Switch?

Present Day... Present Time! HAHAHA Listen to an enby talk about LeafGreen. This game means a lot to me. I played LeafGreen when I was younger and I have enjoyed playing it again in the present day... but does LeafGreen on the Switch actually matter? How important is LeafGreen to Generation 3 and vice versa?
