This video is part of the Ship Showcase 2.0 playlist.
About this ship -
A pure classic - the R13 from R-Type Delta, and a lot of peoples' favorite.
Pros
the red laser is a continuous beam that, while not as powerful as the Leo, is still capable of shredding enemies.
the yellow laser sweeps from the bottom of the Force and covers the whole half of the screen that it's facing. Against popcorn enemies this is excellent and against high HP targets - if you get right up on them - it take them out very quickly.
the Photon Missile is semi homing and will explode on contact dealing extra damage to the enemy.
the Lightning Wave Cannon homes in on enemies and when up to two loops, it seeks out more targets. Even barely charging and releasing will home in on enemies - great for taking out popcorn enemies without moving too much.
the Anchor Force will attach to enemies and deal continuous damage. While firing, the the chain attached to the Force will bend and twist and deal damage to enemies.
Cons
the blue laser is fairly slow and leaves you vulnerable while firing.
the Anchor Force doesn't shoot while detached.
About this stage -
Twisted Ecology's weather can be changed by shooting Negus O Shim's red or blue pegs. To get to the underwater variations, you have to shoot the blue pegs.
Negus O Shim is a hanging sac that spawns its weak point on either side of itself. I like to use a piercing or AoE Wave Cannon to hit it so I can keep my Force on the side where I am. Flying underneath to get to the right side is extremely dangerous and risky because you can see that it drops projectiles from the sides of its sac, but also the bottom if you look. The tentacles will expand and retract and fire bullets at you if you don't shoot the segments, or better yet, let your Force graze them.
To get this series of ships -
Use Cross the Rubicon in stage 3.0 to get to stage 3.5 and fight the captured Cerberus in the Bydo tree. It's an homage to R-Type Delta. This will unlock the tree with these ships.
Fun fact -
I wanted to be a massive cool guy and use the Wise Man to do this stage, so I could shoot my Wave Cannon under Negus O Shim and guide the beam into its weak points on the right side. The Wave Cannon blast was too big and would rock the boss but not pass under it. I switched to the Cerberus thinking that the Lightning Wave Cannon would arc underneath Negus O Shim and hit the weak point, but the blast wouldn't pass underneath it, leading to what you saw me doing here.
