Bharatanatyam Padam Maanvizhi Kannavale by Revanta Sarabhai Pandanallur Style

A Padam is a showcase for a dancer's emotive skills and his imagination in communicating the thoughts behind the lyrics of a song, usually a love song. As the lyrics repeat themselves, the dancer interprets them in myriad ways. This Padam has been created for Revanta by Mallika Sarabhai and is set in the times of virtual communications and career motivated women. Set to Ragamalika, Thalamalika. Music composed by Jayan Nair and T. Palanivelu Choreographed by Revanta Sarabhai, with guidance from Mallika Sarabhai & Maheshwari Nagarajan This performance was recorded at Natarani, Ahmedabad as part of the "Celebrating the World of Dance" festival in March 2012.
