Aberdeen to Lerwick (Shetland) overnight ferry [July 2017]

On the overnight ferry from Aberdeen (Scottish mainland) to Lerwick (Shetland Isles). The direct sailing, without a stopover in Kirkwall (Orkney). The video shows the departure from Aberdeen and the evening sailing along the coast north of Aberdeen. Early the next morning the contours of Fair Isle can be seen. There are also many gannets, also a few kittiwakes (acting as "fare dodgers"). Then along the east coast of Shetland Mainland (Sumburgh Head in the distance) and past Bressay to Lerwick. The ferry service is operated by NorthLink Ferries (Serco).
