I played with three variants in this festival: Loaner, going first board, and FTK. The replays in the video are from the FTK variant.
~ Loaner ~
Duel win-rate: 35%
Coin-flip win-rate: 55%
Awful loaner, missing some techs and extenders, though it should have been expected, I guess. I don't think the FTK can be performed with this deck. Its final board includes Gustav Rocket, Super Dora and maybe Citadel.
Though at first glance the deck might look for going second, it was better to go first with it instead.
~ Going First Board ~
Duel win-rate: 65%
Coin-flip win-rate: 60%
Considerably better performance. Its final board is similar with the loaner, but now with the option of Regulus and it has handtraps and techs like Zeus. I also played the equip spell; Train Connection, so to have an OTK option.
Something to consider if playing Train Connection: if you want to equip it to Juggernaut Liebe, do it before boosting Liebe's attack with its own effect, otherwise Liebe's attack will go to 8K, instead of the expected 10K. The reason for this is that Train Connection overwrites the current attack of the monster. The card states the attack "becomes" the double its original attack, overwriting any previous attack modification.
~ FTK ~
Duel win-rate: 54.17%
Coin-flip win-rate: 33% 💀
Lower win-rate than with my custom going first variant, but also considering the god-awful coin-flip win-rate. I managed to pull off the FTK combo 29.17% of the duels, sometimes, when going second.
~ Comments ~
The FTK variant was the most fun to me. Even if I did not manage to pull off the FTK, I usually had options to at least leave something on the board.
The new Train support definitely improved the deck, but I can't help but think the point of this support is just to do a funny FTK.
~ Tips ~
During the combo, try to get access to both the Train engine and the Infinitrack engine.
Try to bait the opponent to activate a card or effect so you can xyz summon using only Babeldecker as material, due its effect.
Consider summoning Pegasus from the deck with Switchyard, if you already have a target to revive from grave.
Remember that if you special summoned from deck with Switchyard's effect, the opponent gets no battle damage that turn, but you can still burn them.
If you open with Exceptional Schedule, you can add Urgent Schedule (then summon a token on the opponent's field, in case they don't control a monster), you can special summon two monsters, go Ballista, add Box, and add Babeldecker, in case you are missing it in your hand.
Taniguku and Blue Traveler seems to be the right targets for Urgent Schedule. You can special summon Blue Traveler with Taniguku's graveyard effect, and vice versa.
You can trigger Urgent Schedule's effect when sent from field to the grave by popping it with Flying Launcher, Ballista, or sending it with Exceptional Schedule's graveyard effect, or Zeus (in a extreme case).
You can send Goliath to the grave (to activate its effect to attach itself as an xyz material) by linking it off into Ballista or Anger Knuckle, tribute it with Anger Knuckle's effect or River Stormer's graveyard effect, or sending it with Exceptional Schedule's graveyard effect.
Be mindful of the monster zones your link monsters point to, to not block a possible place to link summon a Goliath, for example.
Regulus's level can become 10 along with Harvester, with Harvester's effect. Harvester can be revived with Trencher.
Gustav can be revived with Taniguku's and Blue Traveler's effect, without having its own effect negated.
You can attach a material to a revived Gustav with Goliath's or Heavy Forward's effect.
Summoning a token on the opponent's field with Exceptional Schedule can lock them of their mulcharmmies and imperms, and mess with certain decks like Kashtira and Exosister. It can also mess with their strategy if they need room in the monster zone for it.
You can hard xyz summon Zeus by modulating two monsters to level 12, by using Harvester's effect on a level 10.
Remember that activating Dozer's summon effect from deck locks you into earth machine summons, in case you are considering going for Zeus or Ty-phon.
