Full Self-Drive V15: Could This Be Real? Could Tesla's next Full Self-Driving update bring smarter navigation, better parking, new driving profiles, and a path toward more capable autonomous driving? In this V15 wishlist, I work through the features I would love to see, the problems I still encounter in my Model Y, and the questions Tesla would have to answer. These are my ideas and predictions—not a list of announced V15 features or a claim that today's FSD can drive without supervision. WHAT I HOPE V15 COULD IMPROVE Neural network: I discuss the reported jump from roughly 1 billion parameters in V14 to a possible 10 billion in V15, and what a much larger system might mean for the driving experience. The number and its impact remain speculative. Maps and navigation: I would like useful police and speed-trap alerts, more control over routes through Grok, and smarter avoidance of potholes when there is room to steer around them safely. Parking and Banish: I show why the last 100 feet are still frustrating, including examples of accessible and pickup-only spaces. I imagine controls such as “Closest to Front” and “Choose My Zone,” where I could point out the part of a parking lot where the car should look for a legal, usable space. I also explore the much bigger Banish idea: a car that could drop me at an airport and travel independently to meet me later. That is a thought experiment, not a capability of today's vehicle. Actually Smart Summon: What if the present distance limit and manual hold-to-command interaction could eventually give way to a simple destination request? I show the current app and a concept for how a more capable version might work. Speed and driving modes: I explain why I miss direct max-speed control, then imagine two new profiles. “Greater Fool” would keep a faster pace car ahead at a safe distance. “Follow” would let me identify a specific vehicle I want FSD to follow. Both are wishlist concepts, not Tesla modes you can select today. Autonomous driving: I talk through FSD Supervised, a possible future FSD Unsupervised, and my own proposed interim idea—“FSD Attended.” The legal, technical, and safety hurdles matter, and none of this changes the need to supervise the current system.
