Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Phantasm

Not a difficult fight, but rather an annoying fight. The gimmick of this battle is that the Phantasms multiply when they reach about 40% HP. And they will keep doing this unless you manage to kill them all at roughly the same time. The multiplying skill is called "Multus" and they have perfect evasion when using it, so you can't interrupt it. The trick is to lower all of them to low HP and use AoE attacks to finish them all off at once. Something useful to know is that there is a maximum limit to how many Phantasms there can be at once and that is six. So, once six are in the battle, they won't use Multus anymore until one or more of them die. The strategy is to have six of them out and reduce them all to low HP and hit them with AoE special attacks, preferable during a Chain Attack. I also recommend setting everyone's Driver Arts to single-target attacks. Since you cannot control your party members, they will freely use their AoE attacks and kill off low HP Phantasms when you don't want them to. It's why there was a cut in the video because I forgot to do that, and the battle took a long time because of that. Also, remember the restrictions in this area: Only level 1 specials can be used and Blades cannot reach Max Affinity in battle (Tora is the exception since Poppi is an Artificial Blade).
