The Detroit Jacket by Carhartt is a workwear classic and taking a look at Instagram, Grailed, etc. you'll see a lot of people sporting the iconic and simple outwear piece. Recently I started taking a look online at the Detroit jacket on Carhartt's main website, and the alternate universe Detroit jacket on Carhartt WIP's website - and it got me thinking, why is Carhartt selling a different variation of the jacket for 2.8x more under the WIP label? Is it just branding? Or is there something else involved that makes the Carhartt WIP version of the Detroit Jacket better? So I picked both versions up and made this video duh.
