Oh, river, river, you don't remember me, you carried all my sorrow down to the Gulf and to the sea. Oh, river, river, won't you set my poor heart free? I walked down to the levee when the evening sun was low, walked down to the levee when the evening sun was low, the water only whispered, "Some things you never know." Oh, river, river, you don't remember me, you carried all my sorrow down to the Gulf and to the sea. Oh, river, river, won't you set my poor heart free? Gonna build me a little boat out of cypress and of pine, build me a little boat out of cypress and of pine, gonna follow that river till I find that girl of mine. Mmm, mmm, roll on, river, mmm, roll on... Oh, river, river, you don't remember me, you carried all my sorrow down to the Gulf and to the sea. Oh, river, river, won't you set my poor heart free? #blues #lyrics #karaoke
