Delight Yourself In The LORD!

I had a longing heart Kept counting what I missed When I heard You call my name I found my reason to exist I laid my plans on the floor Held my hands open wide You said, “Turn your face to Me” And let the peace decide Delight in Him, the psalmist said And I leaned in close The desires of my heart The blessings that You chose Delight Yourself in the Lord (Delight Yourself in the Lord) He gives my heart its song (He gives my heart its song) Delight Yourself in the Lord (Delight Yourself in the Lord) What I longed for comes along (comes along) Now the road doesn’t ask me To prove a thing to You I just ride that holy rhythm And trust what You will do When the night gets long and heavy And my courage is running thin I hear that rolling promise Calling me again Delight in Him, the psalmist said And I leaned in close The desires of my heart The blessings that You chose Delight Yourself in the Lord (Delight Yourself in the Lord) He gives my heart its song (He gives my heart its song) Delight Yourself in the Lord (Delight Yourself in the Lord) What I longed for comes along (comes along) So I’m letting go of my grasp Letting joy lead me home Every mile that I travel Is paved with true Shalom
