They aren't “just pets.” They become part of our routines, our memories, our happiest days, our hardest days and eventually... part of our hearts forever. ♥ MY PRECIOUS LEXI ♥ And then there is my Lexi... My soulmate puppy. My best girl. My heart. Lexi was born February 22, 2000, and went to the Rainbow Bridge on August 2, 2019. I was blessed to share more than 19 beautiful years with her. For anyone who has experienced the loss of a beloved dog, pet grief, pet bereavement or the heartbreak of saying goodbye to a soulmate pet, you understand that some bonds simply cannot be measured in years or explained adequately with words. The love between a person and a beloved dog can be one of life's purest examples of unconditional love. Not a day goes by that my Lexi isn't still here in Mommy's heart. The final beach scene in “Still Dancing” is especially meaningful to me. It represents the reunion I carry in my heart and hope for in Heaven... the day Mommy can pick her Lexi up again, hold my soulmate puppy in my arms, and walk that beautiful beach together. Until then... Still dancing... Still believing... Still loving...
