Ending our road trip in Taupō with the best mix of chill lakeside views and wild geothermal landscapes! 🌊☀️ Highlights from this leg: 📸 Sunset cruise & ride through town to find the iconic #LoveTaupo sign 🍺 Enjoyed a cold beer and a hearty plate at Jimmy Coops Lakehouse ✈️ Had a fun breakfast stop at the world-famous Aeroplane McDonald’s (dining inside a 1943 DC-3 plane!) ☕ Coffee & breakfast at Replete Cafe in the heart of town 💧 Marveled at the roaring blue waters of Huka Falls 🍯 Free honey, mead, and liqueur tastings at Huka Honey Hive (and definitely didn’t leave empty-handed!) 🌊 Rushed to make the 12 PM spillway release at Aratiatia Rapids—watching thousands of liters of water surge through the dry gorge in seconds was INSANE! 🌋 Walked the boardwalk loops across the steaming earth at Craters of the Moon Such an unforgettable trip!
