Before The White Album: The Incredible Esher Demos

In May 1968 after returning from India, the Beatles regrouped at George’s house in Esher to record full band acoustic demos of the stuff they’d written in India that they were intending to put on their next album: the White Album. But these demos took on a life of their own effectively giving us an almost fully unplugged version of the White Album, 25 years before MTV Unplugged was even a thing! In this video, I explore the legendary Esher Demos sharing the story, my thoughts on each of the tracks and why I love them so much. As ever, thanks for watching!
