Nimbus Aerospace NX1 Flight Test 2026

We are thrilled to announce that we have completed the NX1 (1/4 scale, 15 ft x 15 ft, ~200 lbs) flight test campaign and have moved on to the full-scale development of the Nimbus N1000 aircraft. NX1 first flew on June 18, 2026 from Pendleton Airport (PDT), and we completed our test campaign on August 13th, 2026. Before the NX1 flight test campaign, we took an iterative approach, completing milestones to build the foundation for this outcome. At a high level, this process began when we wind tunnel-tested a subscale model to validate baseline aerodynamics. Afterward, we flight-tested two 1/10 scale aircraft and analyzed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) reports alongside the real-world tests to optimize our airframe and high-lift wing for NX1. The result: we built the aircraft that we set out to build from the start. In late October, NX1 will move from our hangar to the Pendleton Airport UAS Range hangar, where it will be displayed next to the Airbus Vahana eVTOL for the foreseeable future so aviation enthusiasts can view and learn about Nimbus. This milestone caps off one of the strongest quarters in Nimbus history. We're excited to share more program updates and major go-to-market announcements in our upcoming Q3 and Q4 updates.
