Elijah was diagnosed at 11 weeks with a neural tube defect (anencephaly) of the extreme case. We were advised to terminate as babies with this condition don't generally make it to term, let alone through the birth/delivery. We chose life! Our son proved all the doctors wrong and made it to scheduled C section day at 38 weeks & 6 days. We wanted to give our boy every chance at life, and to know what it means to be loved.
