Train/BNL aren’t my typical jam, but other than $1M obstructed view Ariana Grande tickets, this was the only thing going on. Found an upgrade to 5th Row Pit online for $20 around 5pm. Done. Started the hour drive to the show. Still no ticket to get in though. I held off buying tickets to try and get cheapies, but single lawn seats never got lower than $27. Still need to have a ticket into the venue with an upgrade. I parked and started walking through the tailgaters in the lot asking if anyone had an extra lawn ticket for sale. Ran into a guy named Mark and his friends who said their friend didn’t come, but they didn’t want to deal with figuring out how to transfer, so they’d walk me through the gate for free. Uhmmm, yes please. Mark is the man. The upgraded seat wasn’t actually the greatest. Since they were so far house right, the drum area for BNL was blocked by a speaker stack. For Train, the drum riser was above the speaker stack, but the guy in the 4th row who finally showed up was apparently brothers with the Jolly Green Giant - no offense to you sir, keep doing BIG things. For real though, I'm not even a Train fan that paid $20, so I have no right to complain. At one point in Train's set, I couldn’t get a good shot anymore without blocking the people next to me, so I just walked up to the 200’s and sat down, and then moved up to the lawn for a song, before working my way back down to the original seat for junky wide shots. It is what it is - the audio is still ok 🤷🏻‍♂️
