Population aging is a global trend that will increase strain on healthcare systems due to the higher prevalence of chronic health conditions in older adults. Visual impairment is one chronic health condition that systems should be prepared to address. Visually impaired older adults have unique needs that can be considered during a low vision exam to improve the quality of care that is provided.
