Install VESTA and configure it to access from current working directory

Hi, In this video I started from installing VESTA, a electronic structure visualization software like xcrysden and configured it to acess or launch from any current working directory. If you just installed and try to launch it, you have to provide path to VESTA where you have installed. Once you linked this binary file to /usr/local/bin/, you can launch from any directory you are working. for instance if you downloaded VESTA in /home/software/Vesta/ and try to get it from /home/Desktop/projabc/TiO2/VESTA, it will not work unless you either export the path /home/software/Vesta/ in ~/.bashrc or soft link to /usr/local/bin/. Here are the steps, 1. Download it's tar from the VESTA website 2. Extract in a directory wherever you want and move to that location 3. Further go inside VESTA-gtk3/ 4. pwd and copy the path 5. sudo ln -s paste the copied path/VESTA /usr/local/bin/VESTA That's it. Thank you! Please don't forget to subscribe and support.
