Today I'm reacting to GEOGRAPHY NOW! NORWAY 🇳🇴 A video that left me completely amazed because there's so much more to this country than I ever realized, packed into one video full of facts I had no idea about. Honestly, when I started watching this video I thought I had a decent grasp on Norway, and as soon as it started I realized I barely knew half of what's covered here. First there's Norway's incredibly long coastline, shaped by thousands of fjords and islands, so extensive that if stretched out in a straight line it would circle the entire planet several times. A fact that already blew my mind. Then there's the country's relationship with the Arctic, with a huge portion of Norway's territory lying above the Arctic Circle, including areas that experience months of continuous daylight in summer and complete darkness in winter. Incredible to think an entire region lives on such extreme light cycles. After that comes Norway's economy, built heavily on oil and gas reserves in the North Sea, which funded one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world and turned a relatively small population into one of the wealthiest nations on the planet. And you can't leave out Norway's deep Viking history, with archaeological sites and museums across the country still showing the influence of a seafaring culture that shaped much of Northern Europe centuries ago. A country packed with more geography, culture, and history than I expected from a single video, and once you go through it all, you understand why Norway is considered one of the most unique nations in the world.
