Traumas, traumas, traumas! Season 5 Episode 1 and 2 - Dream a Little Dream of Me is absolutely full of them and this is the stuff that surgeons live for. Grey's Anatomy is definitely a crowd favorite and has been requested multiple times in the comments. I get it - I watched Grey's Anatomy as a premed student many years ago to motivate me to study! I haven't watched too many medical tv shows since then and during my premed days, I thought this was the best doctor tv show. In this episode, Doctors Meredith Grey, Christina Yang, Izzie Stevens, Miranda Bailey, and Derek Shepherd get slammed in the emergency department trying to handle multiple trauma patients after a terrible car accident. We've also have some solid medical education in this video: I review the essentials of the initial trauma workup, why a tracheostomy is done, spinal cord injuries, what can go wrong in the operating room, and various aspects of surgical residency depicted in this episode.
