When Tyson Fought a Grizzly

Tony Tubbs looked like a grizzly that had wandered into a boxing gym. But behind that belly were ridiculously fast hands, clever footwork, and enough skill to win a world heavyweight title. Laughing at his physique was easy. Keeping up with his combinations was another matter. On March 21, 1988, Tubbs stepped into the Tokyo Dome to face an unbeaten Mike Tyson. The former champion had never been stopped, wasn’t interested in running, and believed he could beat Mike at close range. This grizzly was ready to stand his ground. #miketyson #boxing
